    • Congrats on the new website – looking good!
This could be a great place for blogging posts about local news stories, events etc, and I’ll be back shortly with an update on the ‘Newcastle Jewish Culture Club’.

  1. So the ‘Newcastle Jewish Cultural Connexions’ is up and running and we have our first exciting outing on Sunday 11th August to see Grayson Perry’s ‘The Vanity of Small Differences’ at Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens.
Leaving from Graham Park Rd at 2.15pm in shared cars we have arranged a guided tour of the exhibition for 3.10pm. We are also hoping to have an informal post-exhibition discussion (venue tbc) for anyone who is interested.
    Do let us know if you want to come – Marta 0191 285 7173; martajosephs@googlemail.com / Caroline 0191 285 0190; caro.bee@hotmail.co.uk.

  2. Well, the NJCC Grayson Perry trip was a great success, with over 25 attendees from around the region.
A trip to the Chagall exhibition at Tate Liverpool is now being planned, so watch out for further news of this and other events!

    • Following the Grayson Perry visit Cultural Connexions organised a really enjoyable trip to Liverpool to see the Chagall exhibition at Tate Liverpool and more recently, a film screening of ‘Voyage of the Damned’.
Our next planned events are a drama workshop in association with the Newcastle Jewish Players on the 1st December and a screening of the film ‘The Gatekeepers’ on the 7th December.
Watch this space for news of events in 2014!
